University of Bordeaux

The University of Bordeaux (UBx) is a multidisciplinary, research-focused and international university which is ranked among the top French universities for the quality of its academic courses and research. UBx is a top-class education and research organisation, and counts about 56,000 students (including 6,800 international students) and 5,900 staff (including 4,000 academic and research staff). In addition, 2,000 PhD students work in our laboratories and around 900 international researchers are welcomed each year.

UBx offers high level of research with an international scope: 20 international associated research laboratories, 3 cross-border joint laboratories as well as one international joint research unit with the UPV. It has participated in 250 EU collaborative projects over the last 15 years (H2020, FP7, Interreg, EDCTP, LIFE, KIC etc.), and counts a total 53 ERC grants on Bordeaux Campus site of which 31 are still ongoing and 32 Marie Curie Grants.
